King of Bitters (Andrographis) - traditionally used in Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, this herb possesses powerful immune strengthening benefits. It was highly regarded for treating infectious diseases and preventing the effect of many diseases. It works in two ways: (1) by stimulating the antibodies to counteract invading microbes; (2) by supporting the body to scavenge and destroy invaders.
Siberian Ginseng - has been used in China for 2000 years as a folklore remedy for many illnesses. It is particularly helpful during cold and flu season as it helps in enhancing the immune function.
Echinacea purpurea - works differently to antibiotics because it stimulates the overall activity of the cells responsible for fighting infections. It supports the immune system to be more efficient at attacking bacteria, viruses and other abnormal cells, including cancer cells. It helps increase the number and the activity of the cells responsible for activating immune system and promotes T-cell activation. It stimulates growth of new tissues to support wound healing and to help reduce inflammation.
Turmeric - curcumin, the main active ingredient present in this herb, has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a very strong antioxidant. It can neutralise free radicals due to its chemical structure (1, 2). It also boosts the activity of the body's own antioxidant enzymes (3, 4, 5).
