Product Ingredients:Active Ingredient:
fluticasone dipropionate 0.05% in suspension Other Ingredients:
dextrose (anhydrous)microcrystalline cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, phenylethylalcohol, benzalkonium chloride, polysorbate 8, dilute hydrochloric acid, purified water. Each actuation (metered spray) delivers 50mcg fluticasone dipropionate into the nasal passages and each bottle of Flixonase nasal spray contains 120 doses.
How does it work?
Fluticasone in Flixonase nasal spray blocks the production of inflammatory chemicals; i.e. prostaglandins. It reduces the signs of inflammation: mucus production, swelling and irritation. It then helps relieve symptoms of hay fever: runny itchy nose, nasal congestion and sneezing.
How to use for best results:
Gently shake the bottle before each use. Remove the large green dust cap from the applicator nozzle. Hold the nasal spray straight upright. You need to prime the nasal spray if it is the first time you will use it. Once the nasal spray is ready for use, gently blow you nose to help clear the nostrils. Tilt your head slightly forward. And then close one nostril and carefully insert the nasal applicator into the other nostril. Breathe slowly inwards through the nostril. Hold the bottle upright and press down firmly on the white collar. Do this once to deliver the required dosage of spray while you are still breathing in. You now breathe out through you mouth. Now repeat the procedure for the other nostril. After use, wipe the nozzle with a clean tissue and replace the dust cap once you are finished.
Adults and children 12 years old and above - pump 2 sprays into each nostril each day, preferably in the morning. It may take a few days before it takes effect. If you miss a dose, do not take a double dose at one time. If you are close to taking you dose, proceed to administering the dosage but stick to your schedule. Do not exceed the maximum dosage of 2 sprays per nostril per day. This product is not suitable for children under 12 years old unless advised by your doctor or pharmacist.
